Three teenagers were arrested in Aichi Prefecture for robbing University students and stealing their e-money. The arrested individuals are three 16-year-old boys from Tenpaku Ward, Nagoya City, and Owariasahi City.

The suspects are accused of assaulting three university students on a pedestrian bridge in Nisshin City, in November of last year. They allegedly injured two of the victims and used a confiscated mobile phone to transfer electronic money, stealing a total of approximately 16,000 yen, including cash.

The victims were on their way home after drinking when they gestured toward a group revving a motorcycle engine on the pedestrian bridge. This reportedly prompted the suspects to approach them.

During questioning, all three suspects admitted to the charges, stating that they acted because they “felt provoked.”
