A girls’ bar in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo, was raided for running unlicensed entertainment services using Vietnamese women. Three people, including the Vietnamese manager, Nguyen Thi Phuong Lam, were arrested for allowing the girls to participate in illegal activities.
The bar employed international students, dressed them in traditional ao dai outfits, and earned 80 million yen.
The manager stated she thought she wouldn’t be detected if she could avoid detection and kept a low profile.
