On February 11, at the domestic security checkpoint of New Chitose Airport, a 27-year-old security guard, Daisuke Ito, was arrested on suspicion of molesting a female passenger.
Ito is suspected of touching the chest of a Chinese National at around 7:40 AM on February 11, while she was undergoing a pre-boarding security check at the domestic terminal of New Chitose Airport, where he was working.
At the time, the woman was retrieving her carry-on luggage at the checkpoint when Ito allegedly touched her chest as they passed each other.
During questioning, Ito denied the allegation, stating, “I don’t clearly remember whether I touched her chest or not.”
