On June 10, the Uji Police Station re-arrested Tatsuhiro Seichi, 50, a self-employed man from Kyoto, on suspicion of robbery and non-consensual sexual intercourse for sexually assaulting a woman he met for sugar dating. He denied the charges, stating that he had obtained consent.
He was re-arrested for sexually assaulting a woman in her 20’s in the toilet of a building in Uji City, Kyoto, on April 21, and failing to pay for her underwear he received.
According to the police, the suspect and the woman met on social media and met up on a promise to do “sugar dating.” The suspect offered to buy her underwear, which she took off on the spot, and sexually assaulted her after receiving her underwear in the toilet.
