An Irish National, working as a University Lecturer, was arrested in Sapporo City on suspicion of theft.
The man is suspected of stealing two food items. A store employee called police, reporting, “we have detained a European-looking foreigner who shoplifted food.”
According to the police, the man stole chicken and butter, and was apprehended by a disaster prevention center employee.
