Chinese arrested for murder of female colleague

Aa Chinese national was arrested for repeatedly stabbing a female colleague with a knife and attempting to kill her on the morning of December 5th at a company in Isumi City, Chiba Prefecture.

The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital to which she was transported.

The suspect arrested on suspicion of attempted murder is Liu Ke, a 39-year-old Chinese national and company employee live in Mobara City, Chiba Prefecture.

According to Chiba Prefectural Police, suspect Liu is suspected of attempting to kill his female colleague by repeatedly stabbing her in the face and neck with a knife inside the building of the glass products company where he worked in Isumi City, Chiba, at around 9:45 am on December 5.

At the time of the incident, suspect Liu and the victim were conversing in the room, and it is believed some sort of dispute arose between the two.

Suspect Liu has admitted to the charges, stating, “There is no doubt I stabbed her with a knife I brought from home.”

The police have upgraded the charge to murder and are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
