Wakayama Prefectural Police have arrested a production company owner, Koichiro Ito, aged 52 on the 21st of February 2024.
A Shibuya ward resident of Tokyo on suspicion of violating the Child Prostitution and Pornography Law by requesting a high school girl, then 15 years old at the time to send nude photos online. Investigators say that the suspect was involved in the production of the popular anime film ‘Your Name‘
Koichiro Ito has admitted to the charges made.
“I’m pretty sure I received the photos from a girl under 18, but I don’t know if it was this girl or not.“
It is alleged that the suspect met the victim online through social media and asked for nude photos knowing that she was a minor in September 2021.
