Four Vietnamese Nationals, including Hoang Van Dao (29), were arrested on suspicion of trespassing and theft. The group repeatedly stole copper wires and metal scraps from metal processing companies across six prefectures, including Kanagawa, Hyogo, and Fukuoka. The total confirmed damage amounts to approximately 57 million yen.

The four suspects are accused of conspiring to break into company warehouses in six prefectures between June and October 2024 and stealing copper wires and metal scraps.

By the 18th, the police had also arrested two individuals, including Sun Yanyang (36), a Chinese National and company executive from Nagoya City, on suspicion of knowingly purchasing stolen goods. The suspects have denied the charges.
