Two Vietnamese Nationals, including Nguyen Van Gia (20), living in Warabi City, were arrested for violating the Stimulants Control Act.
According to reports, eight cases have been confirmed in which Vietnamese international students became recipients of stimulant drugs. Nguyen and others are believed to have acted under the direction of someone in Vietnam, receiving the illegal packages.
The arrest is for the shipment of approximately 956 grams of drugs, worth about 63 million yen, disguised as desiccants inside snack backs, smuggled into Japan.
