Dam Duy Khang (24), a Vietnamese National was arrested for housebreaking and robbery-murder.
Kang is suspected of breaking into a house in Imari City, threatening the resident – Maiko Mukumoto (40), a Japanese language teacher – with a knife, stealing 11,000 Yen in cash, and slashing her neck when she resistant, killing her.
Mukumoto’s mother, a 70-year-old woman also sustained injuries to her neck and is currently hospitalized.
According to investigations, the intercom was rang, the man entered and threatened the two, slashing Maiko Mukomoto first, then her mother. Police have treated the case as robbery-homicide and set up an investigation with 50 officers.
