Vietnamese National Arrested for Selling Counterfeit Shoelaces

The Shizuoka District Public Prosecutors Office’s Hamamatsu Branch filed a indictment against a Vietnamese man for selling counterfeit shoelaces of popular brands, among other violations. The Hamamatsu Court issued a fine of 300,000 yen.

According to the indictment, in October 2022, the man sold six items, including fake shoelaces bearing logos of popular brands. Additionally, in early May 2024, he was found in possession of counterfeit branded socks intended for sale.

On November 1, the Hamamatsu Summary Court issued the 300,000 yen fine as a penalty.
