A 32-year-old Vietnamese technical intern living in Suzaka City was arrested on suspicion of attempting to import cannabis.
According to police, in November last year, the suspect allegedly attempted to import cannabis by having a parcel containing approximately 3 kilograms of liquid cannabis shipped from Vietnam to his home.
The liquid cannabis was hidden inside body cream containers. At Kansai International Airport, customs officials discovered the parcel upon arrival, leading to a joint investigation with police.
The suspect has denied the charges, stating “I don’t know”.
