YouTuber Sakura, 18, an exclusive model for fashion magazine Popteen with 720,000 registered users, updated her social media on July 24. She called on people to stop spreading information about revenge pornography.
Sakura released a statement “Regarding the image posted on social media.” It says “I believe that the photos being spread on social media were taken by my ex-boyfriend, without my permission. I’m currently investigating the possibility of photoshopped images. I was also completely unaware that such photos existed.”
She continued, stating that the fake images could have been created by spy shots from her ex-lover, and that the video was definitely not her.
She reported that legal action would be taken, saying “I am currently consulting with a lawyer to request disclosure, claim damages and file criminal charges. Posting or even saving photos and videos are also a serious offense.” And called for “stop posting, and delete any images already posted.”
Some people have tried to sell these indecent images using her name. She added “They give each other images for money, make fun of each other on social media, and their way is just dirty. It’s really hard. Please stop slandering me before I reach my mental limit.”
She continued, “I already have a record of the fact that the postings have been made, and I can identify them if I delete the accounts through a disclosure request. If you respond in good faith, I will consider a peaceful resolution, but if not, I will take decisive legal action.” For fans, she posted “If you find the post, please click the report button. Please cooperate with me.”
