Sarkorbek Azimov, 28, a Uzbek National was arrested for breaking into an apartment in Shinjuku. He is accused of threatening a 70 year old women, saying things like “Where’s the money?” physically assaulting her in the process.
Azimov fled the scene on a bicycle without stealing anything thanks to the woman’s quick thinking. Police say that data from Azimov’s phone suggests he had been receiving instructions in Japanese via social media from someone believed to be directing the crime.
