The suspect Ezequiel James Rocha, 38, a US citizen, was arrested and sent to prosecutors on suspicion of breaching the Cannabis Control Act and Customs Act.
According to the police, in August, he is suspected of attempting to have approximately 7.275 grams of cannabis wax, concealed in lip balm containers, shipped from the USA and imported. He admitted to the police that he smuggled cannabis for his own use.
Containers and other items believed to have been filled with cannabis wax were found at the suspect’s accommodation in Japan, and police are investigating other crimes
