Two Vietnamese Nationals were Arrested on suspicion of using forged official documents including a 24-year-old company employee living in Kaga City and a 23-year-old technical trainee living in Fukui City.
According to the police, the two men are suspected of presenting a My Number card under a fictitious name with a photo of the 23-year-old man when receiving deliveries of cash cards at the 24-year-old man’s residence on October 12 and 24.
At the suspects’ residence and other locations, ten forged My Number cards and eight cash cards were seized.
During the investigation, the two denied the allegations, claiming, “We didn’t know the cards were forged.” However, police are also investigating the possibility that the crime was committed by a Vietnamese anonymous fluid-type group, commonly referred to as “Tokuryu.”
