A 17-year-old male high school student was arrested on suspicion of stealing a bag from a store inside a commercial facility, while a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting two pairs of jeans from a nearby clothing store. After committing the crimes, the two were seen together, and the police are investigating their relationship and other details.
According to the police, the high school student allegedly stole one bag worth approximately 22,000 yen from a store inside a commercial facility in Shizuoka City. Meanwhile, the 19-year-old man is suspected of stealing two pairs of jeans worth approximately 31,000 yen from a clothing store.
At around 2:00 PM on the 13th, a store employee at the commercial facility reported the shoplifting incident to the police via a 110 emergency call. Then, at around 2:30 PM, another report was made from the clothing store.
The police arrived at the scene and, while searching the area, found the two suspects together and arrested them.
The police have not disclosed whether the suspects have admitted to the charges, but they are continuing their investigation into their relationship and any potential additional offenses.
