Two Drunk Nepalese Men Breach Immigration Laws

Two men of Nepalese nationality were arrested in Shizuoka Prefecture in the early morning of October 15 on suspicion of violating the Immigration Control Act.

They are both Nepalese nationals, aged 37 and 42, construction workers living in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture. The 37-year-old man is suspected of having remained in Japan illegally for approximately two years, when his period of residence status expired on November 28, 2022. The 42-year-old is also suspected of failing to carry his passport.

A restaurant staff who became suspicious of the two drunken men in front of the shop called the police, who rushed to the scene, identified the men and arrested them in the act on suspicion of breaching the Immigration Control Act.
