Thai Nationals Arrested for Beating and Robbing 60-Year-Old Man

A Thai National, Phutphan Tawinp (39), along with 3 other Thai men were arrested in Kashima City for a robbery last year that resulted in injury.

According to reports, in December of last year, the men broke into the home of a man in his 60’s in Hachioji City, stealing 12 items, including a wrist watch valued at approximately 93,000 yen. They assaulted the 60 year old man by hitting him about 20 times with a flashlight, causing him to suffer bruises and sprains.

Phutphan is believed to be the leader of the gang, and the main perpetrator, as they rolled up to the crib. The Thai Nationals are suspected of repeatedly committing similar thefts around Ibaraki Prefecture.
