Wannasid Patana (49), a Thai National of the female gender, was arrested in Yamagata City on suspicion of running an illegal sex-related business without permission. This is the first crackdown in the Tohoku region since the amendment of the Adult Entertainment Business Act.
The Thai National also goes by the Japanese name Yumiko Sekiguchi, and had female employees entertain customers without obtaining permission for sex-related business operations.
Two other Thai women who were working at the shop, aged 33 and 36, were also arrested for overstaying their visa.
