Suspected Gaijin Arrested by Imperial Guards for Trespassing into Imperial Palace

The Imperial Guards arrested a man on the 16th on suspicion of unlawful entry into a building after he trespassed onto the grounds of the Imperial Palace. The man, believed to be of foreign nationality, was caught in the act and arrested. At the time of his arrest, he was intoxicated, and authorities are investigating the details of the incident.

The arrest is based on allegations that at around 2:35 AM on the same day, the man trespassed onto the grounds of the Imperial Palace near Hanzo Gate in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.

It is believed that he climbed up an embankment to enter the premises. A security officer from the Imperial Guard, who was patrolling the area, apprehended him.
