Suspects Zhou Jigigui, 45, a foreign student broker, and Yu Ling, 39, the secretary-general of a Japanese language school, are suspected of submitting a false resume to the immigration authorities and falsely claiming that a 35-year-old Chinese woman was a foreign student and assisting her to enter the country illegally.
The woman who was assisted to enter the country has already been charged with illegally working at a men’s massage parlor in Kyoto, and other offenses.
According to the police, when Zhou was asked beforehand by the woman if it was possible to enter the country, even though her last education was in junior high school, the suspect replied on social media that it’s okay, and forged a university graduation certificate and other documents.
Zhou denies the charges, saying that he didn’t know that her educational background was a lie and that he feels cheated. However, the police are investigating the suspect as they believe he intended from the outset to illegally get the woman to enter.
