A 50-year-old South Korean National was arrested on suspicion of robbery, having threatened another woman with a knife and stealing 2,000 Yen back in January.
The report states that the South Korean man entered a high-rise apartment in Hamamatsu and threatened the woman with what appeared to be a box-cutter.
Police say that the man followed the woman into the building as she was returning home. Sensing something suspicious, she got off the elevator on a different floor.
The woman was not injured while the suspect fled. Police were eventually able to identify the man from security footage and was discovered on July 21st at the Chubu Airport.
