West side area of JR Kannai Station, which is one of Yokohama’s prime entertainment districts, you can find people standing on the streets wearing short skirts and outfits with revealing necklines. According to the Kanagawa Prefectural Police, these individuals are foreigners who have come from countries like Thailand and the Philippines, and they are said to approach men on the streets with the intention of engaging in prostitution, inviting them to nearby hotels.
Officers from the Isezaki Police Station of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police have executed an operation in which they disguised themselves as “male customers” and walked the streets to identify and apprehend individuals engaged in illegal solicitation. As they entered the area of concern, one person dressed in a short dress would offer a price and initiate lewd acts. The entire process, leading up to their arrest for the ongoing offense, was captured on camera.
