From 2022 to 2023, a female brothel worker from Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture was arrested for swindling a man in Takamatsu City out of 730,000 yen by pretending she had a traffic accident using social media.
According to the police, between November 2022 and September 18 2023, the woman used social media to send messages to a 39-year-old man living in Takamatsu City, saying that she had been hospitalized after being hit by a car and suffering a fractured pelvis, and that her parents were going to pay her surgery, but she had to pay for it herself. It’s suspected that between October 4 and 5 of 2023, she was tricked the man into transferring 730,000 yen to her account.
