Jamshed Junaid (38), a Pakistani National working in construction and residing in Sagamihara City was re-arrested on suspicion of theft. was arrested for stealing a shovel loader in Yamanashi City. On the 10th, he was re-arrested on suspicion of stealing another shovel loader worth approximately 2.5 million yen in Fuefuki City.
The victimized construction company stated that the stolen shovel loader weighed about seven tons. Police suspect that Jamshed loaded it onto a truck and took it away.
During questioning, Jamshed denied the allegations, stating, “I didn’t steal anything.”
Previously, Jamshed had been arrested for allegedly stealing another shovel loader (valued at approximately 3 million yen) from a storage yard in Minami, Yamanashi City, between the afternoon of February 13 and the morning of February 14 last year.
During that investigation, police uncovered the new allegations against him. Jamshed also denied the first charge, stating, “I didn’t do anything, so I don’t know about it.”
