A was arrested for breaking into the home of a company president in Osaka and stealing approximately 100 million yen in cash has been released without charges, according to the Osaka District Public Prosecutors Office.
The man had been arrested on suspicion of theft and unlawful entry after allegedly breaking the front door with in September 2024 to enter the home of a female company president in Osaka City. He was accused of stealing approximately 100 million yen in cash and 192 pieces of precious jewelry valued at around 54 million yen.
However, on March 19, the Osaka District Public Prosecutors Office decided not to prosecute him.
Regarding the reason for the decision, the prosecution stated, “Based on the investigation and the evidence, we have determined not to proceed with charges.”
