Gerald John David (22), has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a man in Shibuya, Tokyo, two years ago, resulting in his death.
On an October two years ago, David and another individual reportedly attacked Masakazu Takeuchi (41) on a sidewalk in Dogenzaka in Shibuya, causing injuries that ultimately led to his death. The cause of death was determined to be a cerebral infarction resulting from damage to the neck artery.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, surveillance cameras in the vicinity captured footage of David and his accomplice assaulting Takeuchi. It is reported that a verbal altercation ensued between them for some reason when they crossed paths, leading to a physical altercation.
David has admitted to the charges, and the police are conducting a detailed investigation into the cause of the altercation.
