Former actor Hirofumi Arai, arrested in 2019 for forced sexual intercourse, makes his comeback. This makes his return after seven years.
He was arrested in 2019 for sexual assaulting a female employee of an outcall massage service at his home in July 2018. In December 2020, a four-year prison sentence was confirmed. Subsequently, a settlement was reached with the victim.
While some are delighted by reports of Arai’s return, a significant number of critical comments are posted on X, such as ‘Why is he returning to the stage?’ and ‘I don’t believe there’s any demand for him in public’.
Even now, seven years after the incident, a strong sense of rejection towards him remains evident.
