Ken Nishimura, 28, a Karate participant at the Tokyo Olympics, was charged with quasi-forcible sexual intercourse.
According to the indictment, Nishimura is accused of sexually assaulting and injuring a woman in Osaka Prefecture in 2022 as she was unable to resist.
The Osaka District Public Prosecutor’s Office hasn’t clarified his admissions.
Nishimura had placed fifth in the men’s 75kg kumite category at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
