According to “’20 minutes,” a Japanese rugby player reported to the police on July 28 that his wedding ring, necklace and about 3,000 euros in cash had been stolen. The theft happened in a bedroom between July 19 and 21. A police officer said that there were no signs of a break-in.
Japan’s national team lost all four matches and finished in 12th place.
The night before the opening ceremony, the coach of the Australian national hockey team reported to the police that his credit card had been stolen from his room in the players camp, and he was notified by his bank that there had been an unauthorized transaction of 900 euros. This case also reported that there were no signs of a break-in.
