In Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture, a car collided with a guardrail, and the driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. Inside the car, an injured man was left behind, and police are currently searching for the fleeing driver.
Just before 2 a.m. on the 14th, a report was made to emergency services about a car crash into a guardrail on a road in Sakuma, Kawaguchi City.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a man, believed to be a foreign national of Asian descent in his 20s to 40s, left in the back seat of the car with head injuries and other wounds.
The man is reported to be in serious condition.
The driver fled without providing aid to the injured man.
Later, a foreign national came forward at a police box, claiming involvement in the accident.
The police are questioning the man who turned himself in and suspect there may be other passengers who fled the scene. They are continuing their search for those involved.
