On the evening of May 14, a 64-year-old woman was arrested for stabbing a man, believed to be her husband, with a kitchen knife in Minato Ward, Osaka. The man died at the hospital where he was taken.

The suspect, Pamela Okada, 64, a self-proclaimed Filipino national was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. According to police, she is suspected of stabbing a 75-year-old man, believed to be her husband in the abdomen with a kitchen knife on the third floor of their home shortly after 10 P.M. on May 14.

The suspect herself reported to the fire department that she had stabbed her husband. Police officers then rushed to the scene and found her with a kitchen knife and a man lying on the floor bleeding from his abdomen.

The man was taken to hospital but later died. It is believed that Okada and the deceased man lived together.

When questioned, she admitted to the charges, saying “I stabbed him in his belly while telling him to “die!”‘.

She also stated that she got angry when he asked her “Is dinner ready yet?”, right before the incident, and that she ran upstairs from the kitchen to the third floor and stabbed him.
