In Fukuoka City’s Hakata Ward, a 50-year-old unemployed man from Higashimura, Fukuoka Prefecture, name: Ryusei Ota, has been arrested for allegedly robbing a 24-year-old woman of ¥10,000 from her bag. The woman sustained minor injuries.
The arrest was made on suspicion of robbery and assault causing bodily harm. Ryusei Ota is suspected of grabbing the woman’s collar and pulling her hair on a street in Katakasu, in the early morning on the 9th of last month and taking ¥10,000 from her bag.
A financial dispute stemming from a dating app?
According to the police, the two met on a dating app, and they met for the first time on the day of the incident. During questioning, Ota denied the allegations, stating that “there is a mistake in the facts” and “the money was given to me by the woman.” The police are continuing their investigation to confirm if there was indeed a financial dispute. Ota had been previously arrested on the 13th of last month on suspicion of assault for allegedly causing injuries to another woman he met on a dating app.”
