Yumi Yamazaki (57), a woman managing a snack bar, along with four female Chinese employees were arrested for illegally soliciting passer byers near Koiwa Station by calling out things like, “let’s go for a drink,” or “what do you want?”
According to police, when being questioned, Yamazaki stated, “I won’t talk about the details until my lawyer arrives.”
The Koiwa area has had a series of cases involving aggressive solicitation by Chinese women, such as the pulling of arms, or overcharging customers for food and drinks.
