Li Jiayun, a 37-year-old Chinese woman was arrested for issuing Tokaido Shinkansen tickets using a QR code in another person’s name that had be fraudulently obtained.
The arrest was made on the suspicion that, conspiring with others on June 2, the Chinese used a fraudulently obtained QR code in another person’s name for Shinkansen tickets at JR Nagoya Station, effectively stealing 12 tickets for the Nagoya-Tokyo route, totaling sales of about 126,000 yen.
