Ou Kisan (41), a Chinese National, was arrested for fraud, impersonating a police officer and defrauding a man in his 70’s in Nabari City of approximately 26.6 million yen in cash.
According to police investigations, Ou was conspiring with accomplices, and called the home of the 70-year-old man. They told him things like, “your bank account has been used fraudulently, and your personal information has leaked.” “We need to investigate.” “Withdraw a designated amount from your account at an ATM every day.” “Put the withdrawn cash in a plastic bag and leave it at your front door.”
During questioning, the Chinese man denied the allegations, citing that he has never been to Mie Prefecture.
