Chinese National Stabs Female to Death with Fruit Knife

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a 24-year-old woman, Nanami Kojima, was fatally stabbed just 10 days after confiding in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police that she did not want to meet a man.

On the morning of the 29th, Wang Lei, a 29-year-old Chinese national, allegedly attacked Nanami Kojima in Tokyo’s Setagaya Ward, stabbing her in the chest and other areas, resulting in her death. Wang Lei was officially sent to prosecutors on the 30th.

Subsequent investigations revealed that Kojima had approached the Tokyo Metropolitan Police on the 19th, expressing her reluctance to meet Wang Lei on his birthday, stating, “I do not want to meet him.” Kojima had been seeking assistance since July, reporting troubles with Wang Lei, leading the police to issue a verbal warning to him.

The heartbreaking incident occurred when Wang allegedly used what appeared to be a fruit knife to stab Nami Kojima (24) in the chest. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Kojima succumbed to her injuries.

Prompted by a concerned passerby’s report, law enforcement swiftly responded, apprehending Wang in the apartment building’s bicycle parking area. During subsequent questioning, Wang reportedly admitted to the allegations.
