A 63-year-old former member of the band C-C-B was arrested by Welfare’s Narcotics Control Department for possession of methamphetamine at his home in Tokyo earlier this June.

According to investigators, Tomoharu Taguchi was arrested by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s Narcotics Control Department of the Kanto-Shinetsu Bureau of Health and Welfare on suspicion of violating the Methamphetamine Control Law for possessing approximately 0.585 grams of methamphetamine at his home in Tokyo, in mid-June, equivalent to about 38,000 yen at the terminal trafficking price. He was subsequently charged with using the drug.

The Narcotics Control Department hasn’t disclosed any admissions or denials, citing obstacles to the investigation.

The department has received a tip that he had methamphetamine, and as a result of a search of his home, the drug was found.

The department is also investigating the route of acquisition in detail, as it’s believed that he was in possession of methamphetamine for personal use.
