A man of Afghan Nationality was arrested for assaulting a female employee in Hokkaido.
According to police, the man fled after the assault but returned to the store about three and a half hours later, around 3:30 p.m.
A security guard reported to the police, saying, “A groper who assaulted a store employee is in the store.” After confirming the suspicion, police arrested the man.
According to police, the 66-year-old Afghan man approached the female employee from behind and carried out the assault. In questioning, he admitted to the charge.
The police are continuing to investigate the man’s motive and other details.
