A 28-year-old Vietnamese woman was arrested for trespassing and theft.
The report cites that the woman snuck into a female colleague’s company housing in Akabira City, Hokkaido, and stole 40,000 yen from the woman’s bag.
The victim’s room was not locked.
According to police, the suspect said, “I didn’t have enough money to pay for something I bought online.”
