A 33-year-old Vietnamese man living in Numazu City was arrested on suspicion of fleeing after causing an accident by crashing his car into a block wall and abandoning the vehicle.
Police identified the man based on witness accounts and arrested him at his home around 7:30 p.m. on April 14.
It has not been disclosed whether the man has admitted to the allegations. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident and the reason he fled the scene.
