Two Japanese skateboarders visiting Taiwan were referred to prosecutors after sneaking into a building without permission and vandalism.

The two Japanese men in their 20’s entered the top floor of a building in Taipei on April 6 and drew graffiti on exterior walls and air conditioning units. They were sent to prosecutors on suspicion of unlawful entry and property damage. The two are said to be Japanese skateboarders, and it appears they had been drinking alcohol at the time.

They were detained at their hotel by Taiwanese police on April 9, and reportedly said during questioning, “We were drunk and thought it would be funny to do graffiti.”
