A Vietnamese man has been arrested for breaking into a company dormitory in Aichi Prefecture, stealing a wallet, and assaulting the female residents.

The suspect, Le Dinh Chung (28), a Vietnamese National was taken into custody. According to the police, in December last year, Le allegedly broke into the dormitory in Komaki City by smashing a window.

The following week, he allegedly broke into the same location again and stole a wallet from inside. However, he was discovered by a 25-year-old female resident. He then assaulted her and a 19-year-old woman living with her, pushing them down and pinning them to the ground. He is suspected of committing robbery with bodily injury.

During questioning, Le admitted to breaking in and committing the assault but denied stealing the wallet, stating, “I didn’t take anything.”
