A 26-year-old woman who worked as an AV actress was arrested for committing romance fraud with a man she met on a social media.
The suspect arrested on suspicion of fraud is Nagisa Nagahama, who worked as an AV idol under the name Chinatu Rei.
According to the Police, in 2019, Nagahama is suspected of defrauding a man in his 30s, whom she met on social media, of approximately 4.6 million yen in cash by lying to him, saying that the money was to pay back an acquaintance she borrowed money from when she was a student because she really wanted to become a nurse.
The suspect is believed to have lied and defrauded the man after going out to dinner with him several times.
She has admitted the charges and the Police are investigating whether she spent the cash on male host clubs and other activities.
