In order to prevent crime committed by foreigners, the Kanagawa Prefectural Police conducted a training session specifically for foreigners.

On the 7th, at a major transportation company’s facility in Yokohama, where nearly half of the workers are foreign nationals, representatives from the Kanagawa Police held a training session for these foreign workers.

The training was prompted by instances where foreigners living in Japan unknowingly get involved in criminal groups through SNS communities that use their native language. The police emphasized not to lend or borrow residence cards and to avoid posting photos of them on social media.

Additionally, the police warned against part-time jobs advertised on social media as “easy money,” as they might lead to involvement in illegal activities.

The Kanagawa Prefectural Police conduct this kind of training about 20 times a year. A representative stated, “If you encounter any problems, we encourage you to consult with the police or your workplace.”
