On June 23, Takashi Tachibana, leader of Party to Protect the People from NHK, who “hijacked election billboards”, was warned for allegedly violating the Entertainment Business Act by putting up advertising posters of sex shops on election poster billboards.

The organization is offering individuals who donate a certain amount the right to post up to 24 of their own posters on one of the bulletin boards. Among these, a bulletin board in Shibuya Ward was used to post a poster introducing a women-only sex shop. In response to a warning, the organization has already taken action by replacing the posters

At a press conference on June 21, Tachibana argued that eliminating the costly billboards, which are expensive to install, would lower the amount of deposits and make it easier to participate in politics. He claimed that this initiative raises a big issues.
