Robbery Suspect Arrested – Victim Still Cannot Move Fingers

A 31-year-old man, identified as Kouta Okamoto, has been arrested in connection with an incident that occurred in April this year. In the incident, he broke into a warehouse at a residence in Kaizuka City, Osaka Prefecture, and assaulted an 80-year-old male resident, causing injuries that required a six-week recovery. He is also suspected of stealing items like a necklace.

The 80-year-old male victim, revealed details of the ordeal:

Victim (80 years old): “I can’t bend my fingers past this point. I’ve injured the nerves. Maybe he twisted them when he caught me.”

Okamoto has admitted to the charges brought against him. In addition to this case, Okamoto is also suspected of involvement in 42 other theft-related incidents.
