In a dangerous turn of fate, two reckless motorcycle enthusiasts from the infamous “Rolling Zoku” group were arrested in Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture. The duo, caught tearing up the roads in May, comprised of college student Yusaka Morita (21) and office worker Kaito Kurimoto (23).

Emerging from the Iruma Police Station on the 11th, Morita and Kurimoto faced allegations of risky riding behavior on a national road. Adding to the intrigue, the motorcycles ridden by the duo featured eye-catching designs inspired by pop culture and humor. One motorcycle appeared to reference a well-known anime character by replicating their overalls, while the other boldly mocked a “stop” sign, replacing the warning with “speed up.”

The “Rolling Zoku” group, infamous for their competitive racing on winding mountain roads, has been a source of concern for local authorities for years. Morita and Kurimoto’s arrest is part of ongoing investigations into their notorious crew and other reckless riding groups.

When questioned, Morita displayed a sense of naivety, stating, “I thought driving skill meant being able to go fast.” Kurimoto admitted their risky ride alongside a third bike, claiming, “We did speed up with three bikes, but we only followed the one in front.” With these arrests, authorities are prepared to crack down on the “Rolling Zoku” and similar groups that continue to endanger public safety.
