An 18-year-old male high school student living in Shizuoka City, was arrested on charges of theft and unlawful entry into a building. According to the police, on the morning of March 17, he allegedly entered a high school in Aoi Ward without permission, then stole approximately 5,000 yen belonging to a 17-year-old student.
On the 17th, school staff reported to the police that “a suspicious person entered the school.” When officers arrived, the suspect had already fled the scene. However, through subsequent investigations, the police gathered evidence linking the crime to the 18-year-old suspect and made an emergency arrest just after noon on the 18th.
Additionally, to prevent the identification of the arrested student and the victim, the police have not revealed specific details about the crime or the school where it took place.
